Growing our own food is a proud tradition for many West Side residents. However, many of us have limited outdoor space for gardening. Community gardens offer a solution by providing sizable plots and water access to gardeners for a low annual fee. Gardeners plant and harvest their own vegetables and flowers.

West Side Grows Together has successfully developed the largest community garden in the City of Wilmington at Rodney Reservoir. We are working with several groups to establish more gardens throughout the West Side.

Creating community gardens helps to beautify our neighborhood, bring people together, and turn vacant land into something productive.
Contact West Side Grows if you are interested in helping to establish a community garden in your neighborhood. We will work with you every step of the way, from finding a location, creating a group, building your garden, getting a water hook-up, and organizing your leadership to sustain your garden for the long haul.
