The Local is Better Craft & Vintage Market, known for being a destination for Wilmington craft, vintage, and artisan finds, is returning this fall to two locations on two dates from 3 to 6 PM:
Wednesday, October 29th at the West Side Farmers Market at Cool Spring Park, and
Thursday, October 30th at the Northside Food & Culture Market at Haynes Park
Local is Better offers opportunities to shop local, support artisans, and discover nostalgic vintage finds. Attendees can expect to find handmade jewelry, artisan food products, vintage goods plus fresh local fruits, vegetables, baked goods, honey, coffee, and more.
On the Wednesday and Thursday of Halloween Week, West Side Grows Together (WSGT), Jefferson Street Center (JSC), Lucky Shot Coffee Co., and the Northside Food & Culture Market are collaborating to gather friends, farmers, local businesses, and community partners for the Local Is Better Craft & Vintage Market, a fun and festive farewell to the West Side Farmers Market season at Cool Spring Park and the Northside Food and Culture Market at Haynes Park. WHAT: The Local Is Better Harvest Market will include music, face painting by artist Ilana’z Glitterbugz, pumpkin painting, trick or treating, costumes, hot food vendors, baked goods, health & wellness products, fresh produce, plants, herbs, jewelry, and more. DJ Black Ice will be playing live music at the West Side event, while Vernon James will be performing on the saxophone at the Northside location.

West Side Farmers Market at Cool Spring Park: Wednesday, 10/29 3-6 PM at Cool Spring Park (near the fountain) located at 10th and Van Buren Streets, Wilmington, DE. Free parking available around park perimeter.
Northside Food and Culture Market (NFCM): Thursday, October 30th 3-6 PM at Haynes Park (near basketball courts) located at 801 W. 30th St., Wilmington, DE. Free parking on 32nd street & Metro/Wilmington Brew Works Parking lot.
ABOUT THE MARKETS: The West Side Farmers Market at Cool Spring Park runs from June through October every year. The market is a community-based initiative to bring fresh healthy food and local goods to the community. The final date for the 2025 season will be Wednesday, October 29th. The market is currently accepting WIC, SFMNP, SNAP, and EBT. Additionally, we double/match SNAP dollars up to $20.
