Heroes & Restaurants is a partnership of West Side Grows Together, Feeding Front Line Healthcare Givers Fund, The Shone Family, New Castle County, and generous individual donors. We have two major goals: supporting our independent restaurants starting with the West Side of Wilmington, and feeding those healthcare and essential workers who are on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic throughout Wilmington and New Castle County.

Why are we doing this?

We are now in the midst of an unprecedented public health crisis of enormous severity and consequences. Beyond showing care and concern for family and friends, many of us want to help.

Two groups that have been adversely affected in this extremely stressful time are:

The medical professionals, first responders, and other essential workers providing immediate care to those in need, all the while exposing themselves to danger.

Small business owners who have had to stop operating or limit operations, many of which are small-scale restaurants.

What is the result?

Hardworking medical professionals, first responders, and essential workers experience some relief and feel recognized and supported through the delivery of delicious meals from local restaurants.
