United Neighbors Meeting
United Neighbors was established in 2018 to celebrate and uplift the communities bordering I-95, centering their unique experiences, rich histories, the lasting impacts of the highway’s construction, and shared hopes for the future. Led by local artists and residents, United Neighbors has completed six collaborative murals on the 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th Street bridges, as well as along Delaware Avenue, spanning I-95 between Adams and Jackson Streets. Through community organizing, policy engagement, and mobility justice advocacy, United Neighbors works to “bridge” the neighborhoods divided by I-95 while advancing safer, more connected, and more equitable communities.
